Happiness is a State of Mind. Session on Emotional Wellbeing

We firmly believe in our responsibility in taking a proactive, preventive approach to our people’s mental health and emotional well-being.

We had renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Sujatha Velmurugan, educate us on self-awareness and situational awareness. She spoke to us like a friend. In day-to-day situations, the importance of bridging the gap between positive intent and meaningful action was emphasized with simple techniques that anyone can practice.

Just like how sessions on physical health are an essential part of any self-care program, sessions on emotional wellbeing help ensure that we are not overlooking any issues that might impact our emotional health and overall wellbeing, since the mind and body are so interlinked.

These sessions are in addition to MiraMed Ajuba’s insistence on a positive work environment and an employee-centric work culture. The mantra to a successful employee wellness program – and healthier employees – is striving to connect all of the components of employee wellness, including physical, financial, emotional and social well-being.

We are hoping that our people are informed and empowered when it comes to the conversation around mental wellbeing, with initiatives such as this one.
