The farmer’s festival, being the first celebration of the year was ushered in with much cheer! We kick started the calendar of events for 2016 on a brilliant note, by taking all the action right to our Ajubans at their bay.

The season of Pongal welcomed our employees with a picture perfect combination of sugarcanes, colorful kolams, thoranams and decorated pots even as they stepped in. Along came the time to turn to the Ethnic side of fashion, which our Ajubans make the most of! The special food, was the cherry to all the gala!

The day started off with games centered on the harvest festival. To get the crowd going, ‘Word Connect’, on first on the list. Any word that comes to the mind about Pongal was said one after the other, the best of which was awarded. Next came the real crowd-puller, the game of Tug of War, which saw some enthusiastic participation and hurting hands for sure. ‘Let’s herd some cattle, shall we?’ was the highest point scorer on the day’s agenda, Ajubans were asked to herd paper cattle to safety. Along came movie ticket vouchers for winners to enjoy Pongal releases. The activities brought in the right amount of energy and enthusiasm for the year ahead. Isn’t that what Pongal is all about?
